Merry Christmas! So many left overs after the Noche Buena ('good night' in Spanish) party. But I'm still craving for more including my mom's home cooked 'nilaga' and the reincarnation of the lechon (roast pig) into paksiw na lechon... mmmmmmm yummy!
Saturday is Macaframa day at Commune. Went for a ride with our friends from Manila Fixed gear and Commune around Makati returned to the store and watch this documentary film of fixed gear riders doing some hardcore tricks and staying alive in the sloping streets of San Francisco. And Dale ended the night with the most perfect chicken meal in the world the "MiniStop" chicken.
I'm changing my blogs site's name from 'manilafixed.blogspot.com to "batalya.blogspot.com to avoid confusion from "manilafixedgear" site. Anyway, they're more legitimate bloggers as compared to me and they're doing what I was doing in my blog only better; which is to promote the fixed gear lifestyle/culture in the Philippines.
Christmas time is near so we left early from work (not sure if there's logic in that) so we went to Ayala Triangle park. It's a nice place to hang around, lots of people passing by, it's also a good place to jog, listen to ambient music, in our case it's a Christmas tune, or a rendezvous for lovers. My friend Dale and I just stayed there (not as lovers) but good bike buddies, we also invented some "out of this world" fixie tricks. After a while we bought some healthy shakes to quench our thirst, parted our ways and went home. Oh there's also free Wi-Fi in the park.
My friend Dale (A.K.A. Senorito) and I brought our rides to Subic in time for the Advertising Congress. 1. Waiting for our turn on the track. 2. My friend Maui & Jason invited us to Anvaya Cove resort for their 1st year Anniversary as a Married couple. 3. My bitch 4. Senorito's bitch 5. We tried to ask permission to shoot our bikes near the ship but the security didn't allow us, I guess the ship is top secret, they don't want anybody to see it. 6. Stop over for a lemonade break. 7. Our Subic mascot, Gary's daughter Zooey.
My office mate finished his fixed gear ride last week check out the Aerospoke wheels. Fortunately for him he didn't have to go through the customs. Now I have a bike buddy to ride within the Makati area.
