Maker of Fine Bikes

I found this site while I was bouncing from one link to another, their based in Marikina City and specializes on custom built bikes, I really like their philosophy in terms of bike building. Maybe these guys could help you on your a fixed gear build.

And here's their link: http://valleybikes.multiply.com/

From Christopher

So while I was updating my blog Chris sent this to me:

Hi Jeck,
I bought the bike from the gentleman who owns this site:
http://www.facebook.com/l/;newoldbikes.multiply.com/
He lives in paranaque and he sold me the bike for 8,500 pesos. That's about all the info i have :) hope it helps.

(got the photo from the multiply site, oh and he names his bikes, this one is called "sarge")

Inspirational

His Name is Christopher Gannon he emailed we awhile back because he was interested in building a fixed gear bike, well it looks like he's more resourceful than me because he got this from a local builder using affordable parts. Maybe this build would serve as an inspiration and a challenge to you guys who wants to build their own fixed gear without spending too much. I've also asked Christopher if he could share some information on how did he acquire his bike so hopefully I can share that to you guys.

QUIAPO RULES!

I went to Quiapo to help my office mate find a decent bike which would suit his budget. It's a nice place to buy cheap and second hand parts plus they have a variety of complete bikes to choose from (It's kinda overwhelming actually). He wanted something really simple so he bought this Japanese style bicycle, and was able to get a discount from the shop.

FLAT

I was pedalling my way home when suddenly I felt my my rear wheel is getting stiff then I heard an explosion similar to a watusi ( I even heard a guy in a jeepney shouting "happy new year!"). My tube obviously exploded, luckily I wasn't riding fast and I was right in front of a gas station ( that could have been helpful if i was riding a car and if I needed gas). So I did the obvious solution, I dialed my cellphone, activated my chopper to auto-pilot, and was home before The Tyra banks show ended.

Finally after weeks of unpredictable weather conditions I was able to ride at the Fort and around the Makati area.
